Cat. #001323112: HARRY DOLL EARLES

Highly rare vintage 3.5 x 5.25-inch color linen postcard, shown alongside his three dwarf siblings, boldly signed on the verso in-person following a sideshow appearance in the 1930s. In fine condition for its age. Harry Doll Earles starred as Tweedledee, the thieving sidekick of Lon Chaney, Sr., in Tod Browning's silent classic The Unholy Three (1925). In 1930, he and Chaney reprised their roles in Jack Conway's all-talkie remake of the same name. The diminutive actor was also unforgettable as Hans, the double-crossed groom of Olga Baclanova, in Browning's horror masterpiece Freaks (1932). Doll is also remembered as one of the funny-faced members of the Lollipop Guild in Munchkin City in The Wizard of Oz (1939).
